About Jonnathon

Here are a couple of Java applets that I liked so much I had to include them somewhere!! I hope to add some more when I find them. If I find a lot of good applets then I will change this page to be links to examples of each applet to save download time on this page.

First there is a clock which I downloaded from Microsoft's example applets for Internet Explorer 4.

The second applet I would like to show you is rather clever. This one is of a Rubik's Cube puzzle. It is fully working in that you can use the mouse pointer to rotate the cube or rotate the faces of the cube! You will have to experiment with it to get used to how the draging works but it is quite easy to get the hang of. When you think you are ready to try and solve the puzzle just click on it with the mouse (so it knows you are 'talking' to it!) and press S to scramble it. Unfortunately, the cube gets reset whenever the page is reloaded so you can't scramble, start solving it and leave it over night to continue solving it another day (well you could leave the computer on and the web page loaded all the time but that would be impractical!)
